If you are doing something good. Keep on it!
What have I been up-to last week?
It wasn’t a very busy week, however, I managed to stay focused on my commitments. I was spending a lot of time reading the C++ books. It is pretty awesome to be honest. I have never done such reading and the amount of knowledge you gain is phenominal.
I finished the first half of my state pattern blog post as well. It’s a struggle to get it together because of all the other commitments that I have. If I focus a lot on work, I feel that I don’t have much energy for these blog posts and books. I really feel that that time flies these days and that is a clear indication that I am enjoying the life.
How is everything else?
Last week I was thinking a lot about my childhood to understand how I ended up as an Embedded Software Engineer. I was thinking about my early childhood. I started learning about computers and programming when I was around 8 years old. I still can’t understand how my parents thought that learning about computers and related technologies are that important. I need to talk with my dad about this and truly understand what he thought.
ResMed has featured my profile in their careers page and in LinkedIn. That is pretty awesome. This is the first time a company featured my profile. The link to the LinkedIn post can be found here
What am I reading?
- Sapiens, A brief history of humankind (180 / 480 = 37.5 %)
- C++ Programming Language (120 / 1279 = 9.38 %)
- From Mathematics To Generic Programming (37 / 312 = 11.6 %)
Any good TV shows or movies?
- The Social Dilemma
This is an amazing documentry on the social media and data anytics business which involves selling user data and it’s effects on our mental state. It just says that we need to try and stay disconnected from all the notifications and social media noise. That documentry is such an eye opener.
Any new learnings?
I learned about the move constructor through the C++ reading. I read the lightning tour in C++ and just touched the move constructor in the surface. I need to read about these stuff and learn more details.
