2. Start of a Journal

This is my second weekly entry and I am really happy that I could stay committed for two weeks.

What have I been upto last week?

It was overall a busy week with work and with some trainings I decided to take up. It’s strange that after being awake for almost 112 hours in a week, you have nothing much to talk about what happened during that week. I have been trying to keep a journal for a long time, however, I could never record stuff consistently. Therefore, this week I created a journal using docusaurus. It’s a habit that I should somehow grow.

I also started AWS Essentials training to get some basic knowledge on the systems side of whole Software field. I have never spent time on learning web related technologies and that makes this new training very interesting. I’m taking up the course on LinuxAcademy, which is paid for by my workplace (ResMed). LinuxAcademy is by far the best online learning platform I used. (I have taken up courses in Coursera, Udemy and LinkedInLearning too)

I have been training my voice for a couple of weeks now and I did a few training sessions this week as well. I also went for a run and played some tennis with friends. (My service is getting better, but I’ve injured my hand)

How is everything else?

COVID19 is still the hot topic around the world and it is pretty bad in Victoria. They have locked down the place for six weeks and if that is working, ideally, they should see a reduction in number of COVID19 cases next week.

What am I reading?

Still the same two books, - Rich Dad, Poor Dad - The English Spy

Any new learnings?

I learned a little bit about AWS. I’ve also rearranged the dotfiles for vim and all the other tools that I use. That’s mainly because I’ve started using Neovim and I want to reuse the dotfiles as much as possible . I’ve already started writing a separate article on configuring Neovim. I hope it will go live in a few weeks.

That’s a week!
