A busy week in general with a lot of possitivities. Here’s to many more weeks like this one!
What have I been upto last week?
Last week was a very productive week. I started working on some tasks related to bluetooth. This is the first time I’ve ever worked on a bluetooth related feature. Unfortunately, the task is at it’s last stage. However, I could still grasp some concepts. I’m planning to somehow invest time in learning the technology.
There were some fun things happened at work, specially something called a zoom-play-session. The whole team did a virtual play session to let off some steam and it was really nice. I decided to have a casual chat with my chat-roulette partner without being a chicken about it.
Apart from that, I started reading new concepts about C++ to make sure that I have latest information on the language. I still need to learn a lot. I need to slowly but consistently learn the language.
How is everything else?
This week I started a weekly learning schedule. There are so many technologies that I need to learn and there are a lot of new knowledge I need to gather related to my current work. I keep on switching from one topic to another without spending some quality time learning it. Therefore, I decided to take it on in a disciplined manner.
I’m going to focus on C++, AWS and my blog for 4 months.
- Sunday - AWS & Blog
- Monday - C++
- Tuesday - Blog
- Wednesday - C++
- Thursday - Blog
- Friday - C++
- Saturday - AWS & Blog
Blog is where I am going to invest in learning something random. However, it will be one topic until I come up with a quality blog post. These days I’m working on a blog post which talks about the design pattern state pattern. I’m enjoying the learning process and I’m planning take time in preparing the blog post. I hope this formula would be benificial in the long term.
What am I reading?
I finally finished reading the book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’. It’s the second book that I’ve read about financial intelligence. The first one was ‘Barefoot Investor 2017’, because I wanted to learn how the system works here in Australia. I learned a lot from these two books and I’d recommend them to anyone who wants to learn about how money works.
This is embarassing! because it is still the same two books, - Sapiens, A brief history of humankind - The English Spy
Any good TV shows or movies?
I watched a movie called “Freedom Writers” and got very emotional. It’s the sad reality in some part of the world and I feel that I’m lucky to not have any such issues during my childhood.
Any new learnings?
Basic vocabulary in Bluetooth and I digged a bit deep into C++ iostream library throughout the week.
