6. Used My Oscilloscope

I loved this week! The work was thrilling and I exercised regularly. Body, mind and soul~~~!

What have I been upto last week?

It was another amazing week which kept me busy in the most interesting way possible. After so many years, I could use my oscilloscope to debug an issue in our device. I enjoyed doing that small electronics task a lot and it also validated my a few years old decision to buy an oscilloscope.

I though I would spend time learning a little bit more on bluetooth side this week, however, I could not spend time in simply learning the tech because of the task workload. However, I’m planning to work on formula to allocate some time for learning something new everyday.

How is everything else?

I continued my weekly learning schedule during the week except for the weekend. I was too focused throughout the week and my mind, rightfully, demanded some time to chill. I watched a couple of movies and spent a lot of time reading a book.

Also, I restarted running. I did two 6 km runs this week and I continued my 6 km walk everyday that I wouldn’t run. I’m really happy about my fitness. I’m sure that I can do more than 6 km now. However, I don’t aspire to become an endurance runner, therefore, I don’t want to channel my body through such strenuous workouts.

I continued working on my state pattern article, which would appear on the website in a few weeks. To be honest, the progress appears to be very slow. I need to have some daily goals this week and try to achieve them. However, there were some baby steps taken in the right direction. I read somewhere that doing a little bit of something consistantly is way better than not doing anything at all.

What am I reading?

I watched a YouTube vedio where the preseter instructs everyone to read a book per week. I tried to do that and failed miserably. However, in my defence, I do a lot of learning everyday which involves reading many documents. Therefore, committing myself to this extra burden might not be a healthy choice long term. So the two books that I read are, - Sapiens, A brief history of humankind - The English Spy

Any good TV shows or movies?

I watched “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood”. I should have watched this last year, but I didn’t feel motivated. This week I subscribed to Amazon Prime and saw that the movie is there in Amazon library. I didn’t know about the Tate-LaBianca murders. I watched the movie because I liked the plot and the movie was very different. However, after watching the movie, I was like, “I cannot understand what this movie is all about”, hence I read some reviews. Oh boy I was impressed of how Tarantino’s mind works. The movie is all about, what if Tate-LaBianca murders didn’t happen and instead the perpetrators died in the attempt, the lives of Sharon Tate and the rest would just go on like every other life in the world. The way that it was depicted was simply superb.

I also couldn’t understand why the killings happened in the first place, and noticed that it’s categorized as ‘Serial Killing’, which always means psycopaths. It’s sikening, but that’s the way the life works!

Any new learnings?

Learned a little bit about SiLabs Blue Gecko MCU family. Reinforced my knowledge on C++ classes.
